WE ARE WITH YOU

Dear Tarbiya Family,

I'm sure you have seen the news surrounding many Black American's death and it brings us great sadness to see our nation torn. We are well aware of America's diseased history with racial inequality and we want to assure you that today, tomorrow and forever our center will always support communities that are ravaged by America's implicit bias against minorities.

We always will be a center focused on enriching the lives of the kids we serve and supporting their success as they enter a society that believes they do not deserve it because of the color of their skin. Our teachers are here to breathe wisdom, life, and love into them so that they never have to utter the words "I can't breathe". We hold our breath for them and pray that our work with them allows them to eventually inhale the air of a racially just society.

We encourage you to talk about race and racism with your children and teach them not only how to deal with it, but how they can work to overcome it. We will continue to teach them to love themselves in their entirety, to be kind, to be respectful and to always seek knowledge. We hope you are all staying safe and know that we love you.
